My Chocolate Story

My first experiments with chocolate started when I was a little kid, mixing chocolate and peanut butter into ice cube trays, freezing them (semi patiently waiting) and then eating them super quickly before they melted all over the kitchen.

I have always loved anything chocolate but it wasn’t until I had my first child that I began focusing more on the source and quality of ingredients in chocolate (and everything else). I couldnt find a chocolate that was made with wholesome ingredients and still satisfied my sweet tooth. I love super dark chocolate but sometimes you need something a little bit more indulgent, thats when I set out to make a “milk” chocolate that didnt contain the conventional ingredients you find today. I wanted to use simple whole ingredients and still have an incredible tasting chocolate.

Once I discovered that I could buy my own cacoa beans, and grind them into chocolate liquor, I was hooked and had to figure out the process for myself. From the beginning it was really important to me that I find transparently sourced beans and focus on real ingredients. I wanted to make chocolate with added benefits, like protein + fiber, and make it lower in sugar. It has been full of challenges and frustrations but totally worth it to create a chocolate that I wanted to share with family and friends.

My hazelnut milk chocolate was created after trying countless different recipes and flavor combinations (and forcing my husband to try them all). I wasn’t satisfied with the recipe until I made a chocolate that inspired us to go back for seconds…and thirds! After the “milk” chocolate, I had to go back to my original favorite, the 72% dark chocolate, and now I have 10 flavors with many more hopefully to come.

Thank you for taking an interest in my chocolate creations and I hope to become part of many happy chocolate moments and memories.
